Chairman of the Hawkers Market Girls Centre
Mrs. Kiplagat is currently National Trustee for the Kenya Girl Guides Association.
She has the following positions: Honorary Associate for the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, Founder member and Trustee for the Starehe Girls Centre, Immediate past president for the Africa Region.
The bronze medalMrs. Kiplagat is the recipient of the bronze medal of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. It is the highest honor given by WAGGGS for outstanding leadership in the movement.

Mrs. Wamuyu Mahinda
Team Leader for the Hawkers Market Girls Centre
Wamuyu is currently a member on the World Board of WAGGGS.
Wamuyu Mahinda was awarded the Ashoka Fellowship in recognition of her role in catalyzing entrepreneurship among Kenya’s rural and urban youth. Wamuyu founded the Youth Banner.

Shariffa KeshavjeeMrs. Shariffa Keshavjee

Shariffa Keshavjee is an active girl guide.She started in 1957 as a brownie. After being invested as a girl guide, she was a guide leader and finally represented WAGGGS on the United Nations. She is currently an Honorary Associate of the World Association of girl Guides and Girl Scouts. She is the National Vice Chair for Kenya Girl Guides Association. As a founder member of Hawkers Market Girls Centre, she continues to encourage the 20 girls at the centre annually to do their best - which is the promise of the 10 million girl guides all over the world. She is a founder member of Gucha Girls Centre and Starehe Girls Centre.
