A trip to the museum

Mrs Keshavjee took the girls to the museum,it was a very wonderful experience because for some of them it was their first time in the museum.

At the museum the girls were able to showcase some of the things they make, and also sell them out.

Yvonne Matheka an Alumnae of HMGC Joined the centre 5 years ago.Thanks to HMGC she graduated from Cecily School of Nursing at the Nairobi Hospital and now working as a Nurse at the Nairobi Hospital with one and a half years of experience.

2016 Graduation

 Hawkers Market Girls celebrated their 2016 graduation at the centre on 4th December 2016 with ten girls who had completed the one year course successfully. The graduation was attended by the girls' parents, Global FICCS manager Milicent Ila and her assistant Caroline, girls from Global FICCS, the girls themselves, and the invited guests who included Ulveena Dar, and the guest of honor was Mrs.Keshavjee's friend named Nancy Warsaw who really inspired the girls with her speech.

The MC was Caroline Akinyi an alumni of HMGC who is now employed by Global FICCS and is pursuing Diploma in Information Technology at KCA University.

Year 2016 TV Gift

The  girls were over joyed  to receive a gift of Television set complete with a Star times decoder from Hisense company.This was on thursday 14th january 2016.

The television set was presented by Manish from the Hisense company.The centre appreciates the gift and will use it for educational purpose as well as entertainment.

2015 Girls Success

The year 2015 girls some of them are already succefull.

Martha Njambi and Gentry Shitangale went for an interview in Athi River at the Indigo 6 where they passed and are now on internship in making Kikoy blankets therefater will be employed.Thanks to Betty of indigo for offering them the opportunity to sharpen their skills and earn a living.

Faith Nawire and Romona Nduta are at the Prince John's High school they have now moved to form two.

Gladys Wacera is back to school at the Catering institute for the deaf where she is upgrading her catering skills.

Edith Nanzala and Nessy Kendi are making Mouth pieces for Bassonist David Richmond and are earning an income.

Year 2015 Graduation

The Graduation ceremony for the year 2015 girls was held at the Aga Khan primary school.The guest of honor was Mrs.Amina Bhaloo and the Master of ceremony was none other than a former student Faith Opiyo who is now pursuing a degree course at the university of nairobi.

All the girls were congratulated for having accomplished one year course and acquired a certificate in Dressmaking ,Computer, Crafts,Lifeskills among others.
